Pawtons, in a few words
Pawtons started in 2018 with one simple idea: share a real love of dogs, and build a community where owners help each other out.
We'll use any excuse to do it — daily tips, practical guides, deep-dive research, and plenty of nonsense on social media. Years later the project is still growing, more dog people keep turning up, and good advice about caring for our animals keeps spreading across the web because of YOU.
Animal welfare sits at the centre of everything here, and it's genuinely good to see how many of us share that.
A team of dog obsessives
Pawtons is nothing without the people behind it. Building this platform has taken real work from our team — though it's hard to call it demanding when the job involves writing about dogs and spending time around them.
Rafiquel — Founder
Mad about animals and the web, and the person the whole Pawtons concept came from. Animal welfare has always mattered to him, and this is his way of contributing: helping owners through the adoption process and giving them what they need to care for their dogs every day.
He considers Pawtons his best project yet, and he's still building it out with the long-term aim of making it the reference platform for dog lovers. You'll be hearing more from us.
Leon — Editor
Curious by nature, kind to humans and animals alike, Leon contributes to the world of dogs with a very good pen. She's lived with a lot of dogs over the years and knows them inside out, which shows in everything she writes. You'll find her work across our blog and throughout the site.
Priyan — Graphic designer
Priyan handles the visual side of the site and our content, and brings a sharp eye and a taste for clean, considered design. She's into art of every kind and completely devoted to dogs, so she combines the two by making custom dog portraits with a slightly offbeat style. Our own Yuki has never looked more distinguished.
A big THANK YOU to our contributors
If you've spent any time on our blog, you'll know how much is in there. None of it would exist without the people who write for us. Surveys, proper research and a lot of imagination go into every piece — so if our product guides, care tips or stranger articles have been useful to you, tell us, and pass them on.
What's next?
We have no shortage of ideas. New sections are in development to bring you more exclusive, genuinely useful content. If there's something you'd like to see, contact us and tell us directly.
We're also looking at concrete work around the adoption of abandoned dogs and reducing animal cruelty. As soon as we can make that happen, you'll be the first to know. Stay tuned, and come along for the ride.
